Swallow Your Pride Even though it Tastes like Crap

By admin Posted in Success / No Comments »

Sometimes we have to swallow our pride even though it is one of the hardest things that we may have to do.  I think that pride is a trait that we learn and then is magnified through our adult years.  We don’t want to show weakness in front of our friends, family or co workers.  Depending on the situation sometimes we have to show we are a forgiving person and we can swallow our pride when we can clearly see that someone has made a mistake and has hurt us.  That same person has harmed their own pride and are begging for forgiveness, that person need not be overlooked but accepted and not judged no mater how great the mistake.  If you can swallow that pride and make adjustments to fix mistakes and solve great problems then the swallowed will not have any taste at all and your greatness will soon become automatic.

Get Up and Take Action!

By admin Posted in Motivation / No Comments »

Get up and take action.  It is very easy to set goals and then say that you are going to start them tomorrow, but often tomorrow can become the day after next, next week, next month and then next year.  If you actually never get up and begin that goal and process you will never change your life.  I have seen to many friends and co workers develop such a great plan of attaining their goal but never put that plan into action.  Don’t be intimidated by a large goal or even a small goal because no matter what as long as you begin and continue to build on that goal from day to day it will become easier and more attainable as time goes on, and the rewards that it will bring are priceless.  So you must get up and get out and .

Are You in the Band or Are you a Fan?

By admin Posted in Motivation / No Comments »

One Saturday this season I went to watch my favorite college football team and it was a heck of an experience just to see the way that fans were acting.  We had a great team last year and we lost our coach who was offered a higher position due to his success.  The new coach that came in had big shoes to fill and so far he hasn’t filled them very well.  He lost a big game the week before and we really needed a win against the opponent we were playing that week.  We were down by a large margin in the third quarter.  As I looked around the stadium many of the fans were leaving and many were booing there own team.  It was a hot day about 95 degrees and my seats are very close to the marching band and they continued to play and cheer with great enthusiasm.  One band member had become dehydrated and passed out from the heat but a fellow band member carried her out of the bleachers to take here to the first aid station in his arms.  Not long another band member had the same problem and her friends that were in the band helped her out as she was throwing up in front of everyone around her.  Those band members were not giving up they were helping each other and they continued to play for our team.  You didn’t hear a single boo come out of their mouth so I ask are you a band member or a fan?

You Are More Successful Than I Am

By admin Posted in Featured, Success / No Comments »

Do you really have more success than me or anyone else? That is a question that you will have to answer on your own. It is true that we all have different talents and may be more successful in one area of life than another. No matter if we can dunk a basketball or write a bestselling novel we are all different. It is true that we all have many successful moments throughout our lives. The key to success is realizing them and giving ourselves credit when credit is due. Just because we don’t live in million dollar mansions or drive 80,000 dollar cars does not mean that we aren’t , those objects do not define our success. Each small accomplishment in our lives are build ups for major success that some day could get us all of those things that we want, but without recognizing them right now we will never be prepared for ultimate . So each day appreciate what was done well and maybe what wasn’t. Continue to improve and take notice of your small successes and then you will realize how you really are.
