I once saw a commercial for an investment company that showed a baseball player taking batting practice and hitting ball after ball to the same spot in center field. The commercial basically was recommending a steady consistent approach to investing to ensure steady and consistent returns. Read the rest of this entry »
I can remember growing up and attending middle school. I found out very fast what was cool and what wasn’t, whether it was music, movies or your appearance. If you didn’t have the designer clothing or the Air Jordan basketball shoes you probably weren’t going to cut it in the elite social group that dictated the social setting of the entire school. How do you envision success in your mind? Do you remember past success that you are trying to re create, maybe a time when you impressed you friends, family or co workers, maybe you felt like nothing could bring you down, you had an unstoppable feeling of success. Since that time of success things really haven’t gone your way and you are searching for a way to get to that point again. The problem may be that you are focusing too hard on what once was and that time may never come again. You have to know that you can not live in the past, even if the past you are living in is positive. In life once an event is over we can not re create it. You have two options, the first option is to become more successful than the last experience. The second option is to become less successful and decline never reaching your true potential.
Really your only option is to move forward and create more success in the area that you are confident about now.
You can always keep the memories of past success in the back of your mind to know that you have the power to accomplish great things because it has been done many times on many different levels. Live for success today!

“Don’t Say New Years Resolution-Say Goals For 2008″

Before you start to act on your resolutions it is better to stop and think about what you accomplished the year before and how your life would change if you made a few changes this year.
So take out a pen and pad of paper and write down all of your new years resolutions from last year and if you have to go take a smoke break before you start you are probably not starting out very well. So go ahead and write down all of the things that you accomplished this year and are very proud of. Think back to the time when you accomplished them and how great it made you feel, whether you lost 10 pounds, quit smoking or just spent more time with your family. If you are like me you might have had a tough time remembering your resolutions from last year or really didn’t complete too many. I can sympathize, but it is not time to feel bad about last year because this is a new year and you will have new goals. Did you catch that I said goals! I have stopped referring to the term resolution all together, due to the fact that I just feel that it is more associated with failure than success. How many times have you jokingly said something throughout the year and then said I will make it my new year’s resolution or just sarcastically referred to the whole process. Now call your resolutions goals for 2008. Read the rest of this entry »
